Anna and Bruce Ellis invite you to their century-old home where they have combined their talents and created the warm cozy atmosphere of a fine bed and breakfast. Caribou Lodge Bed and Breakfast is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada near Mount Saint Vincent University off the Bedford Highway on secluded Armada Drive and features an art gallery and gift shop showcasing Atlantic Canadian crafts and wildlife studies by watercolor artist A.J. Scanlan.

Period furnishings throughout the Bed & Breakfast add a touch of grace and elegance to the lodgings. Guests at the B&B can choose from three inviting country bedrooms. Each come complete with a full private, en suite bath, cable TV, and telephone. The Merchant's Room and the Auditor's Room are the two second floor accommodations. The cozy Auditor's Room features a private breakfast nook which can double as a room for an extra guest. The Artist's Suite is a ground floor accommodation with a private entrance and spacious porch. Guests are served an extensive continental selection included in the rates. Room service is also available.

Children and pets are always welcome, though you should inquire concerning your pet when booking. Two rooms offer special amenities. The Artist's Suite on the ground floor is wheelchair accessible and offers accommodations for disabled guests. The Royal Suite on the second floor offers a very intimate setting and a whirlpool bath that is perfect for a romantic get away or honeymoon.

Your hosts can assist in booking fun and exciting recreational activities to enhance your vacation or holiday. Located just minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, Caribou Lodge Bed and Breakfast is ideally suited to be your headquarters for exploring maritime attractions such as historic Halifax, the Nova Scotia International Tattoo, Peggy's Cove, boating, hiking, deep-sea fishing, rafting, and horseback riding, to name a few.

If you do not find Northmberland Lane on your Halifax Map look for Armada Drive coming off of the Bedford Highway between Flamingo Drive and Melody Drive near Mount St. Vincent University.
